Thanks for the great customer service at the Iwilei store. Unlike other stores, I found the sales men and women very helpful. As a single woman, many home improvement or hardware stores discount me and dismiss me as not worth their time. Pox and James were helpful. Pox, even though it wasn't his main area was very friendly, well informed and courteous. The store appeared clean and well organized. Glad you have such wonderful people working there. Thanks for a great experience.

I purchased a new Frigidaire refrigerator from Lowe’s in Honolulu in November 2025. Within two months of purchase, the refrigerator failed completely. When I returned to Lowe’s to seek assistance, I was informed that after 48 hours, Lowe’s disclaims all responsibility and that I must deal solely with the manufacturer. For a major appliance retailer, this practice is unreasonable and contrary to basic consumer expectations, particularly for a major appliance that failed almost immediately after purchase. After spending several hours attempting to reach Frigidaire, I eventually spoke with a customer service representative located overseas. A service technician was scheduled and arrived two days later. The technician advised that nearly all internal components would need to be replaced, a repair process estimated to take two or more weeks after approval, with repair costs exceeding the original purchase price of the refrigerator. I escalated this matter with Frigidaire and was informed by a supervisor that I would receive a follow-up call once the repair estimate was received. No follow-up ever occurred. When I contacted Frigidaire again, I was told they were still “waiting on the estimate,” with no timeline or alternative solution provided. As of the date of writing this review, there is still no solution in sight, and I remain without a functioning refrigerator. At no point did either Lowe’s or Frigidaire offer a replacement, loaner unit, or expedited resolution, despite the appliance failing well within a reasonable time frame. This experience demonstrates a systemic lack of accountability between retailer and manufacturer, where each party deflects responsibility to the other, leaving the consumer without a basic household necessity. Consumers should be aware that Lowe’s disassociates itself from appliance defects almost immediately after sale, and Frigidaire provides extremely poor post-sale support marked by delays and lack of communication. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend avoiding Lowe’s for major appliances and exercising extreme caution when considering Frigidaire products.

I’m sharing my experience with the Lowe’s Protection Plan because it has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I purchased a Whirlpool WED4815EW1 dryer on 09/12/2024 along with a 3-year extended warranty through Lowe’s (administered by Assurant). Not long after the manufacturer warranty period, the dryer started making a loud, high-pitched squealing noise. It was diagnosed as a failure of the Whirlpool W11035878 front bearing and felt seal, which had separated from the drum — a clear mechanical issue affecting normal operation. I filed a claim expecting this to be covered. Instead, the experience quickly became a drawn-out process that took multiple weeks to reach a resolution, involving repeated calls, delays, and back-and-forth communication. I was sent between Lowe’s and the local repair company multiple times. Lowe’s directed me to the contractor, the contractor sent me back to the warranty provider, and I had to do my own follow-up just to get basic information about my claim status and the reason for denial. Communication from Lowe’s was inconsistent, and after multiple attempts over an extended period, I was left without clear support or resolution. The repair was ultimately denied because the dryer is located in a covered residential carport, which they classified as “outdoor use.” This was extremely frustrating for several reasons: - The dryer is under a roof, protected from rain and direct sunlight, and used as part of a normal household setup. In Hawaii, this type of installation is very common. - The failure was clearly mechanical, not caused by environmental exposure. - The denial felt like a broad technicality rather than a fair assessment of the actual problem. What made the experience worse was the lack of ownership and communication. It felt like no one took responsibility for the claim, and I spent weeks trying to get answers while being passed between multiple parties. I originally purchased seven appliances from Lowe’s because I believed the extended warranty would provide peace of mind. After this experience, that confidence is gone. At this point, I’m done fighting with Lowe’s. We will be repairing the dryer ourselves because it’s clear the warranty does not provide the coverage it was sold as offering. The biggest takeaway here is the disconnect between what customers believe they are buying and how these protection plans actually work in practice. I purchased the extended warranty expecting coverage for a straightforward mechanical failure. Instead, I experienced confusion, delays, a denial based on a questionable interpretation, and ultimately no meaningful support. Because of this experience, I will not be purchasing appliances from Lowe’s again.

Dear Lowe’s Customer Service, I am writing to formally complain about multiple issues with my recent custom glass order and the lack of proper support from your store team. First, my initial delivery was incomplete, missing three pieces of glass. This caused delays in my project. Second, the bathroom window glass was not manufactured according to my specifications. I specifically requested mosaic/frosted glass for privacy, but the product delivered did not meet this requirement. Additionally, one of the custom glass items I ordered was incorrect. When I raised this issue, I was unfairly blamed for the mistake by a staff member, which was both unprofessional and unacceptable. To make matters worse, I have attempted to contact the store manager regarding these issues, but I have not received any response or follow-up. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and has negatively impacted my construction timeline and costs. I request the following: A clear explanation of what went wrong Appropriate compensation for the delays and inconvenience caused Please treat this matter with urgency. I expect a prompt response and resolution. Sincerely,

UPDATE: Tested out our range stove to use the oven to bake some dinner and now it basically throwing up an Error code F350 and to turn it off you have to keep canceling it because it won’t turn off properly. Recieved replacement for the dishwasher and still came back wet. Delivery man had called the store manager where manager claimed the factory test them before shipping but maybe the machine didn’t dry properly before packaging. Pictures posted below Long story short not recommended to buy Lowe’s appliances I have so much regret buying from there. They do not show any care about the issue. I purchased my dishwasher along with a microwave and electric range and after I received my items my installer told me he noticed the dishwasher was leaking water and missing a panel that was supposed to cover the electrical wiring. The female employee I spoke to over the phone did not seem to understand how to remedy the issue. Told me to contact the Waipahu store since my product was shipped from their warehouse. Even though I bought all of my appliances at the Iwilei location. I ended up driving to the Waipahu location because instead of transferring my call to someone who could help me I was left on hold for over 30 mins. I’m extremely disappointed with the after service I received and never purchasing from this location again if I can help it.
