I had a great experience doing a pickup order with Lowe’s. I come here often and am always impressed with the staff here. Brian brought my order out to the curb and, when it didn’t fit in my car, called up his colleague Brent to help me cut the plywood I had purchased. I was in a hurry as I had an appointment I had to go to, and they were super speedy and polite. Great experience!

Do not use the Minute-Key vending machine located in a Lowe's store!!!!! When it takes your money and doesn't work, Lowe's says "Not our problem, call the number." I asked a sales person about having a key made and was directed to the key vending machine. I inserted my key into the little slot and selected the blank type, tapped my credit card, went through four rounds of upselling, and pressed go for the final time. The machine made industrious noises and spit out the two keys I had requested. In one glance, it was obvious that the keys would not work. They were roughly the shape of the original, but had no no detail. When I asked the same employee who had directed me to the machine about this problem, he agreed that there was no way the key was going to work, and then he said I'd have to call the number on the side of the machine and they'd help me. I called the number and got an answering service. Why would I go to a brick and mortar location that expects me to call a number about the service I just paid for in their store?! I drove to your store, and you tell me that the fact that I've just paid for something, inside your store, that is totally defective, is not your problem. BTW, when I was telling the employee that I thought the whole situation smelled like a scam, a lady walking by threw over her shoulder that it had taken her money the day before, and kept walking. Lowe's, if you're customer service can't support an undisputed product defect that shows up before I even leave the store, why would I go back. There are lots of Home Depots around. Do better, way better. P.S. I'd like to give zero stars for this visit, but the interface requires at least one.

We've lived in this neighborhood for 32 years and half been going to this store ever since it used to be Eagle Hardware. We've always loved this store and still do. Lately the staff has gotten much better at helping customers find things. They are keeping the shells better stocked and organized. However, I'm giving it a two-star rating because the grounds around the store and even the parking lot are horrible, always filled with garbage. This is a challenging area of Seattle because of encampments, but the store could be helping the community by keeping the grounds clean. For example, the McDonald's which is literally across the street hardly ever has litter in their their parking lot. They have a policy in which every 30 minutes they go out and clean up any litter. This is a policy that Lowe's and other businesses should adopt. It's good for business! Graffiti is also an issue but they seem to keep up with that. They could do more to beautify the area around the store. They sell landscaping products for goodness sakes. Also, this is a site of an old historic baseball field called Sick Stadium. They are supposed to honor this with signage and historic displays, but they've let them deteriorate. Again, we love the store and it's an important part of our neighborhood but much needs to be improved.

Usually, I like going to Lowe's and they're very reliable, but this past experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I had ordered mulch to be delivered (same day) about 2 weeks ago and it never arrived, even though the driver had marked it as being delivered. I went back and forth with Lowe's for a week (!!), the store said there was a "miscommunication" and they would attempt to redeliver. They never did. I finally called customer service and asked them for a refund, they put in a "refund request" and told me "someone will reach out to you in 24 hours". Well, it's been over a week, no phone call, no refund. That's money down the drain for me, and a lesson learned. Never order same-day deliver from Lowe's.

I don't suggest going here for any kitchen projects. First visit we were refered to a "refacing" contractor even after telling them many times we are wanting new cabinetry not a refacing job. Flooded with texts, emails and calls from a refacing company is annoying and not what we requested. Second trip into the store to start completely over again, we finally got someone to go over our design needs and paid 150.00 for someone to come measure. After nearly a month of waiting from our first consult, nobody ever got back to us with our quote after the measurements were taken. The email explicitely said they would get back to us when the bid is done, as also stated by the kitchen department supervisor who designed our cabinets. We've wasted way too many hours and countless emails with their kitchen dept. supervisor to wait any longer. Now we are denied a refund on the measuring, which I had to take a day off work for, and nobody wants to take responsibility for dropping the ball, just predictably passing the buck as someone else's fault. When I called to check why it was all taking so long, the kitchen supervisor told us they have no lead or project manager for our project. Who's going to take responsibility to keep the ball rolling then? They actually admitted to selling a service they had no intention in managing. I would never seek out Lowe's for any other home needs again. Leaving well over 15k on the table with no follow through is a red flag for the likelyhood of other issues that nobody will take responsibility for.
