Sandra Barnes a month agoI walked into Lowe’s. I made an appointment to have the front doors measured to be replaced. Anthony arrived around 9:15 on May 21. He was quite professional and helpful. He took the measurements we decided on the doors. He said he was going to put the information in the system and possibly call me with the final details and dollar amount on Friday, May 22; if not, no later than Monday May 25, which was actually the Memorial Day holiday and I knew better. On May 29, I called Lowe’s in Towson. I spoke to a manager. He said, he could see in the system where I did set up the appointment but didn’t see anything regarding the final measurements. He said he’d look into it and call me back in about 15 minutes. It’s now Tuesday evening, June 2nd and still no word from Lowe’s. S. Barnes
Autumn Jae a month agoMy partner and I left this location about an hour or so ago. We spent about two hours and a few hundred dollars in this store only to be monitored and accused of stealing. We're new home owners and since buying our home (and boycotting Target) Lowe's has become our new favorite place to shop and this particular location was (up until this point) our favorite location. As we were finishing up our shopping one white female worker said to us "you two have been in this store for about two hours." I didn't respond. Upon checking out, I noticed that the security officer and another white female worker who were chit chatting in front of the exit made their way to the check out lines. The white worker-I'm not sure if her name, but from what I could see her name started with a J. It was short, so I can only assume her name was Jane, came over to our register to ask if we needed help checking out. We said no and she starts to look in our 2 filled carts and finally found something she wanted to check. She told us she needed to check the tool box for the cameras and that she would need to scan the discounted plants because they might not ring up correctly. It's funny that the world thinks Black People don't know when we're being accused of stealing or discriminated against. A FOURTH white female came over to scan the plants. But before she did, I over heard the second worker and security officer talking AND heard when the worker told the guard "yea, I checked the tool box for things." It was followed by a response and then laughter. They can laugh all they want because I am reaching out to Corporate today and will be looking into legal action. This is unacceptable given that we've spent so much money in Lowe's and at this location in the past 8 months. While they were hyper focused on us, not once did they tend to any of the white customers who got to check out freely and uninterrupted. Again, I am letting Corporate know, and I am taking legal actions.
Leroy Krieger 6 months agoThe night manager (younger white woman) and the self checkout employees are the greatest employees of all time. They convinced me stop shopping at "the orange square" all because the hospitality, knowledge, and sheer professionalism of the employees here. I used to HAVE to go to home depot... I CHOOSE to drive FURTHER to go to Lowes. To any employees of lowes in baltimore, merry Christmas, and may all your dreams come true!
Sacred B. Huff a month agoIf you are Black, beware that the white employees will monitor you at self check-out while completely ignoring the white patrons. My partner and I just finished shopping about 5 minutes ago. A white employee hovered around us while we checked out. She then claimed that she needed to look inside the toolbox that we purchased “for the cameras.” It was a degrading experience—especially given that I am a Gold member and I shop at Lowe’s all of the time. Unfortunately for Lowe’s, I am an attorney, and I know my rights. The entire ordeal was recorded, and I will take legal action against such racist, discriminatory practices.
Lenny Handfinger 3 years agoNice store...kind of tucked away in it's own little world. The people there seem nice and on my visit were very helpful. I went in looking for some stair treads for my deck. They only had one on the floor. But wait, one of the associates called somebody and the next thing I know here comes a guy riding a white horse with lights on it and pulling a wagon full of deck treads....what service! The store is very clean and seemed very well stocked. The area where the plants and yard stuff is was very well organized. The parking lot was clean, the best time to go to Lowe's is between 12 and 3 weekdays...in my most humble opinion.
