I was attempting to shop for some dowel rods. I get it, exciting purchase, but at $5 a pop and the amount I needed it wasn't going to be cheap. As I'm looking an employee ushered me out of the aisle because they needed to get something off of the top shelf with the lift. There was no one else around so allowing me to finish my purchase wouldn't have been that big of a deal. 2 mins tops. I had the size, I just had to grab the amount I needed. Needless to say I put back my items as the employee was not having it. So fine. I'll keep my $60. The one time I actually find an employee at this location and instead of offering to help he pushes me out. Maybe I should have been born a man. Then I could have finished my purchase.

Update: I was able to exchange this appliance after speaking to corporate about it. Thank you! ZERO STARS - Corporate Attention Needed! This experience with Lowe’s has been absolutely unacceptable, and I am formally requesting corporate escalation because store-level management failed to take any responsibility. I received an over-the-range microwave as a Christmas gift, purchased on 12/22. Like any reasonable customer, I did not open the gift until after Christmas. Upon opening it, the microwave was significantly damaged straight out of the box, with a noticeable dent on one corner. I returned to Lowe’s with the original receipt, expecting a straightforward exchange for a clearly defective appliance. Instead, I was refused because the purchase was allegedly outside a 48-hour return window. This policy makes absolutely no sense for holiday gifts and punishes customers for normal gift-giving practices. This was not customer-caused damage this was a defect or handling issue on Lowe’s or the manufacturer’s end. Refusing to exchange a $279 appliance that arrived damaged is unacceptable and reflects extremely poor customer service and product accountability. If Lowe’s corporate leadership stands behind this policy, then customers should be warned that Lowe’s does not stand behind the products it sells. I am disappointed that management chose policy over basic fairness and common sense. I expect this issue to be reviewed and corrected by corporate, and I will be escalating this matter further through corporate customer relations and public consumer channels if necessary. This is not how loyal customers should be treated.

This review is for two employees at Lowes Mesquite, Mary Jane and Erlinda in Lawn and Garden. Definitely, not Lowes paint dept which i despise!! Mary Jane, i ran into a few years ago when looking for a portable ac unit. The only one left I was interested in was in a box with the bottom gone. She said if u want this i can see if my manager can get you a better deal. She helped me load it, chased him down and boy did she get me that better deal. She is very sweet, great personality!! Perfect for customer service!!! Also, I was in there last month shopping for flowers for my outside beds and a sweet lady named Erlinda actually approached me asked me what I was looking for. She was pointing out my options which was great because this was my first time planting flowers outside this time of year. She also pointed out the clearance flowers in the back. When checking me out she asked me if I knew about their rewards program. Very helpful, very kind and sweet!! I know I got out of there a lot quicker thanks to Erlinda. Again, GREAT Customer Service!!! On my way out I ran into Mary Jane again who insisted on following me out to my truck and helping me load all of my flowers and soil with me. Thank you, ladies!! It’s so nice to actually go to a store and not have to chase someone down to get some help!! Also, great to see smiles on people’s faces and people that can carry on a conversation. Not robots, like some people these days. Definitely not y’all. Y’all rock😁👍

Didn’t catch his name but the older man with long hair in appliances was very helpful in both trips I had to make to the store. He was very kind and quick to help me find what I needed. Thank you sir!
