Update: As of 1/23/2026, Lowe’s has not responded—no follow‑up, no outreach, no action. Their public comment sends customers back into the same departments I’ve already worked with for months, yet none have contacted me. The silence after inviting me to “get in touch” says everything. I need more than another referral loop—actual action is what’s needed now. 01/10/26 Update on Installation Issues: On 11/03/25, Robbie’s Home Repair—the installer assigned by Lowe’s—returned to correct several installation problems. Although everything looked fixed at the time, I discovered on 01/10/26 that some issues with the gates have returned. Both side gates built from Freedom Fence/Freedom Outdoor Living gate kit are failing again. They sag and drop as soon as the latch is opened, and the right side gate drops to the ground immediately. Both gates have to be pulled upward at the latch side just to align the latch and striker enough to close. This temporary realignment only holds for a short time; after several openings, the gates begin sagging again. The welded Freedom Fence/Freedom Outdoor Living back gate now drags the ground almost as soon as it’s opened. The more serious installation issues remain unaddressed. Sharing this update so others understand the recurring problems I’ve experienced with this installation. Location: North Kansas City, MO Product: Freedom Concord/New Haven fence products with Lowe’s Installation Purchase Date: 6/4/25 | Install Date: 8/12/25 This has been one of the most frustrating, time consuming, and disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. Within one day of installation, I found defects: misaligned posts, large gaps, bent latch key, gates dragging, wrong latch installed, missing parts, and three poorly fabricated gates with horrible welds. After months of repeated emails, the gate issues were corrected on 11/03/25, but major concerns remain. I contacted Freedom Fence, who was adamant that each defect was ‘installation related’ and not covered under warranty. The Lowe’s installer claimed the instructions were ‘ambiguous,’ yet proceeded without clarification. Lowe’s and Freedom collaborated and later deemed these methods ‘acceptable,’ leaving me with substandard workmanship. The remaining concerns are extensive and well documented: • Use of dry concrete mix as filler, contradicting the concrete manufacturer instructions. • Posts set with concrete not poured to finish grade, soil used instead. • Several areas have pickets with ground contact because posts were set too low. Lowe’s told me that redoing the posts to create a 2 inch clearance would “cause an eyesore due to the posts being abnormally inconsistent in post height to accommodate the clearance, rather than the terrain.” In other words, they acknowledged the issue but refused to fix it. They instead suggest I hire a landscaper to “fix terrain,” despite the fact that the areas where there is ground contact are relatively flat—effectively telling me to pay to correct issues their installer created. Bottom line: Lowe’s, their installer, and Freedom Fence cannot be trusted to deliver basic workmanship or accountability. Defects were dismissed, poor installation excused, and acknowledged issues left unresolved. I would not recommend Lowe’s, their installation services, or Freedom Fence products. Zero satisfaction. Zero accountability. Zero trust. Update in response to the owner’s comment: I’m unable to reply directly under your comment because Google isn’t providing a reply option, so I’m adding this update instead. For months I’ve already been in contact with Lowe’s Installation Support, Executive Customer Relations, and have also emailed the Lowe’s CEO multiple times. Despite all of this, there has been no resolution, which makes it difficult to believe that anyone will take meaningful action at this point. If Lowe’s is genuinely able to assist, the teams already involved should have full access to my case history. I’m still willing to work toward a real resolution, but I need more than another referral loop—actual action is what’s needed now.

Very disappointed in Lowe’s customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would. Went to the store to get flooring. Asked to speak to a rep. Another Lowe’s worker said he would page a worker (mind you this worker was doing nothing) so we waited 15 minutes. No one came. Asked Lowe’s member to page floor rep again. We waited 15 more minutes and no one came. Left the store. Called Lowe’s to see if i could get ahold of a rep that way. Rep answered and I asked him questions about flooring. He left me on hold for 10-15 minutes and when he came back he provided me with no information. Then he hung up on me without providing any information saying “you can call back tomorrow”. I think it is safe to say I will be doing all my flooring shopping at Menards instead. They have better prices and customer service. Disappointing that Lowe’s does not teach their employees how to treat customers. I have had many people tell me Lowe’s has poor customer service and I should not go there but have never experienced it. Now that I have experienced it I will encourage everyone as well to steer clear of Lowe’s.

I wish I could rate Lowe's less than one star. Today I tried to return couple unused items that I bought at Lowe's Boardwalk last year. They refused to refund me because I bought them past 90 days. I asked them for store credit and they refused. Home Depot, Walmart and Menards have the best policy to return your unused items!

For the second time went to the store on 12/21 in need of a ceiling fan light switch, I tried to ask an employee help finding the light switch he pretended to be on his phone and kept on walking the other employee said I can't leave my area. I just left and will get the part somewhere else ,by the way that was sunday 12-21 around 9 am second no help experience.

Be aware when buying trees this season from Lowe's. Great selection but no protective measures where taking during the drop in temperatures. There might be root damage due to the plant being in containers.
